According to a former detective with the Metropolitan Police, migrants arrested though criminal activity must go through the UK criminal court system to avoid left-leaning attorneys from blocking their deportation. 

Speaking to Richard Tice, Reform UK Party leader, the former detective said, attorneys would claim that individuals were being deported without a conviction if the government were to arrest and deport people without an official resolution.
